Questions and answers

Any auction house curator will tell you that it is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Alas, I suspect it is far more likely that you have one of the Giclee art prints which duplicates many of the qualities of the original. In that event, new prints can be had for approximately $40 USD from any online seller. However if you can verify and document provenance as an original, the value may more likely be measured in seven or eight figures. Unfortunately Renoir's original is likely still hanging in gallery 824 of The Metropolitan Museum of Art where it has been for several decades and will likely reside there at least that much longer.

It would take some time to list all of the major 20th century works on display. But a few of interest off the bat might be Vincent Van Gogh's The Starry Night, Henri Rousseau's The Sleeping Gypsy and Claude Monet's Water Lillies. You're also going to see work by Picasso, Rauschenberg, Pollack, Duchamp and Twombly. There's sculpture, painting, drawings, sound art and film. Don't miss it!
